The Grievers Library is fueled by volunteerism. We welcome your participation on our team. Here are four ways you can support our work:

book courier: You transport book bags from our Ballard to a library steward at an assigned Book Box location (Seattle, Vashon, Bainbridge Island, Kingston & Edmonds). Occasionally, you pick up book donations or bring back donated books for labeling. time commitment: weekly, monthly or bi-monthly.

book labeler: You show up for a Work Party on a weekend afternoon (next scheduled: January 11 + March 8, 2025) and spend 3 hours with new or old friends affixing labels to our grief books. Music and treats included.​

admin support: You help in our Ballard office OR you work remotely to purchase books for the library OR you man a Resource Table at a public event. time commitment: 2 to 3 hours/month.

​IT support: You provide your expertise upgrading our website SEO, and/or leading our social media. time commitment: 2 to 3 hours/month​​​​​
